Oh man, how many TIMES have I heard people say “if you are with the right team, using the right tools, and saying the right stuff, then the product you are promoting doesn’t really matter”. WHAT??? Do people seriously believe that? That totally means that you could be selling “JUNK” but if you are doing all the right things then it is ok??  I find that ridiculous. Read More→

As you may already know, all web pages, including blog pages, are assigned what is called a “page rank” by Google. In a nutshell, a page rank is a rating system. All things equal, if you are competing for a particular keyword with another blog, your page rank will determine which blog is served up higher as a relevant result on the search engines.

I say “all things equal” because your paticular post about a subject could rank higher on Google against a better ranked blog if your article happens to have better optimization (aka keywords used in the right areas, proportionately and relevant to the article). But this post is not about ranking or how to rank higher. I mention ranking because it goes with the lesson in this post, which is to show you “One simple way to easily increase your blog’s visibility”. Read More→

I’ve recorded several webinars on blogging in the past for various groups and have decided to do two things with these:

1- I am making them available thru my new Resource Center for everyone to take advantage of. These video based courses will give you a good start at setting up a free blog on wordpress, create and edit content so you can start sharing your knowledge online and begin building your brand. You can always transfer content later to a self hosted blog.

2- I am also going to re-capture this information in a more advanced and comprehensive course format that will be downloadable and available as a downloadable eLearning course later this fall. This course will address self hosting rather than the free version and will also cover all aspects of blogging, from set up, to design, to social media syndication, as well as maintenance. If you are a subscriber you will receive a pre-release notice and discount. It will also be available to you as an affiliate opportunity to share with your lists if you wish. More details to come later.

I welcome you to visit the Resource Center here and please send me any feedback or ideas you would like to see me cover. Blogging is my first series of training.

I don’t know about your business, but for my business, if I don’t have content out there on a somewhat regular basis, then the online traffic comes to a halt. By content, I mean articles (posts like this one). And if you are counting on just posting ads on Facebook on your wall, then… well you may still be experiencing a halt. Most of your friends simply don’t want to see ads to your business. They might however want to see your work… but that’s different.

If you are new to online marketing, or new to blogging, you may be wondering how you can leverage all this social media to actually get people to your website, particularly if everyone is avoiding ads!

So why blog? What difference does blogging make?

In a nutshell, your blog is your “hub”… your home base, your party HQ. Your blog contains information about you and what kinds of things you know about which will tell a total stranger that you offer value to the community in whatever areas you are an expert in. What I mean by value is not “your product or service and how valuable it may be”. What I mean by value is what YOU can offer outside of your product or service and why people should buy from YOU vs the guy on the next blog selling the same thing. Read More→

Did you know that there is an actual (probably not published, but widely known) “social media etiquette” that most marketers online follow?

Found this great article at .com Marketing I thought I’d share here about this topic. Short, sweet, useful and true. My favorite sin is “thinking social media is about YOU”.

Of course, there are other areas to consider when posting on social sites. This article covers what I think are the most important ones.

Enjoy!

What is going on in the world? Seems like we are in more of a depression than a recession, even if no one of “authority” wants to admit it. Just look at the numbers and compare. Unbelievably, network marketing totally RISES during bad economies. Why? Because people are looking for ways to generate an additional income and our network marketing industry offers that opportunity to every individual who is willing to work, talk and repeat. Getting started with video marketingWhat stands out more to YOU, a text post, or a video post?

Well, if you guessed video, then you’ve got the first “reason to start using video marketing” right there “#1 videos stand out more than text”.

Video just stands out more in people’s mind. Maybe because it’s easier to “listen” than to “read”, or maybe because people want to connect and interact with others and seeing another person on the other side just makes a difference and adds credibility to the message. Either way, videos are just an attraction magnet for most people. So if you want your message heard, video will help increase those chances.

You can also combine video and text for an extra lift, because as you probably already know text is important for SEO so your websites can be found, however, also, there are some people who still like to quickly read the jest of your message or who may not have access to audio at the moment.
